We are very sad to inform everyone that The Damned never managed to resolve their visa issues forcing them to cancel their whole US tour last night.
This does unfortunately not only force us to miss out on all of our shows with them but also forces the cancellation of our headlining show in Youngstown on the 25th of October.
The affected dates are:
21/10 – Cleveland, House Of Blues
22/10 – Cincinnatti, Bogarts
23/10 – Pittsburgh, Diesel
24/10 – Detroit, St Andrews Hall
25/10 – Youngstown, Cedars Lounge
26/10 – Chicago, The Metro
28/10 – Denver, Bluebird Theatre
29/10 – Salt Lake City, Club Vegas
31/10 – Seattle, Showbox SoDo
1/10 – Portland, Wonder Ballroom
The show in Tampa will not be affected by this and we are currently working on adding some more US dates for late November / early December.

They will do their best to get back to Detroit as soon as possible but most likely that won’t be happening until next year.
Does that apply to Chicago too? I need some live Danko right now.
Totally blows. Have missed Danko the past three times through Milwaukee/Chicago/surrounding because I’ve been gigging myself.
PLEASE come back…and play Milwaukee, if possible. Not only do I personally need to rock to live Danko, so does the entire city of Milrockee, WI.

Well, now, I am extremely disappointed, but I will travel as far as 200 miles to see you. Being in Chicago, that leaves my options plentiful. I can’t wait to see you dude rock in person. I was saving my album purchase for the show, but I suppose I will have to order one online now.

For the Chicago show, I am tempted to make a life-size poster of the band, put them on a wall in my garage, and load the garage with all the speakers I can get my hands on, and crank up the volume.

aw man! I was gonna go to the Damned show in Sinsinnati mostly to see you guys. i didn’t think you’d ever come around this way. what a let down, but I know its not your fault. Typical muscian fashion not to be on top of it and get thier visas squared away. one of the reasons I try not to date muscians anymore. no offense. I still need and love the music
Really sorry that the american tour got cancelled, but at the same time makes us, in Brazil, more excited to see 100% energy on our shows….Guys….here in Natal, the sun is shining and the beaches are spetacular and the beer…already cold!!!! I was really sad to see you guys wouldn’t be playing Cincinnati tonight, since you were the only reason I was planning on seeing The Damned again (don’t get me wrong-they were good).
If I might make a suggestion: Next time (hope hope) you pull through Cincinnati, don’t play Bogarts! Its the crappiest place in town by far. Try the Southgate House or The Madison Theater just across the river in Northern Kentucky. Cooler venues to be sure.

That really sucks Danko,but to be selfish if you are back home why not do a Canadian Tour and play all those Dynamite B-Sides!! I have seen you every year since 2003,so I am going thru a little Danko-withdrawl this year.
I know European Metal fans love ya, but there are still some loyal Canucks who appreciate the intense show that you always deliver.

Probably my only shot to ever see Danko live and the SLC show gets canceled. Come back and do an American tour. The Damned live up to their name.
This sucks! I think that you should clandestinely cross the border to play your gigs. How about a little LESS respect for the gov’t “authorities” and do the right thing.

Yeah it sucks hard. I just want to make it very clear that Danko Jones never had any issues with crossing the border. The shows however were The Damned headlining shows were Danko Jones were the supporting act. When they couldn’t do the shows they ended being cancelled = no Danko Jones show.
Wow, that sucks. I saw you guys twice in Chicago in 06. Was stoked to hear you were back in the area. Bought tickets in advance for the diesel show last night, drove 3.5 hours to Pittsburgh to find out at the door to find out you were not playing.
Unfortunately, the guys at the door were very unhelpful and were unable to provide any refund information. Very crappy all-around.
Yeah. I was refused a refund tonight because the show “is not canceled” and “tickets are still being sold”. GLWT Furb. Will be trying again tomorrow with a phone call. I’ll be watching the site to see new shows coming up. Hope to see DJ back in SLC.
Was this in Salt Lake City? That is messed up…please let us know how this works out and if they still refuse to give you a refund we will do our best to resolve this issue.
Yeah, I have no idea what was going on. I had to put the vendor on the phone with the website staff to get it resolved several days later.

It is cool that you guys are willing and interested in helping resolve any refund issues.Alot of bands wouldnt bother. I doubt the Damned gives a flying fuck ! Hope to see you out west somewhere sometime soon.
